Heroes

Few fathers
So who is there,
To look up to
When Superman & Batman,
No longer satisfy
And sinful desires gratify
Who is there,
To edify?

They imitate their heroes
So they hate to see them bleed
Their heroes
Represent the good in the world

But what happens,
When they no longer believe

What happens when they learn,
Good don't always win
And that this world
Is poisoned with sin

When they come to grasp,
With the world that we in
Who will be there to teach
Our young children
To be all that they can

If they don't turn to the government
Will it be the media
Lady liberty controls
What its feeding them
So there will be defeat in them

Will it be the streets
To be all that they can
Soldiers without a cause
Ruled by their envy
Well it shouldn't be

For now we shall take a stand
And be men
No longer shall we run from fatherhood

When the world shows up with hate
We will be the good
When in their eyes
Show the tears of defeat
We will show them how
To get back on their feet

Teach them to reach for dreams
And always stretch a little further
Because now
We shall be more than fathers

We will be their Heroes...
